Albert Invent, the Oakland chemistry-native AI company, raised a $55M Series B led by TCV, with new investors Delta-v Capital, Socium Ventures, HighSage Ventures, Coral Capital and Legion VC joining existing backers Coatue, J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners, Index Ventures and Applied Ventures. Forbes put the valuation at roughly $340M, citing a person familiar with the deal. Albert runs an operating system for chemical R&D: scientists record experiments, design formulations and query experimental data, with a model called Valence recommending ingredient substitutions under price and safety constraints.

Stuut, the New York company whose AI agents chase unpaid invoices through to payment, raised $52.5M in Series B funding led by Insight Partners. It comes less than a year after a $29.5M Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, with Activant Capital, Khosla Ventures, 1984.vc, Page One Ventures, Vesey Ventures, Carya Venture Partners and Valley Ventures, which put Seema Amble of a16z and Steve Sarracino of Activant on the board.

Abby Care raised an $82M Series C led by Transformation Capital, announced 15 October, bringing in CVS Health Ventures, Frist Cressey Ventures and Pivotal Ventures, Melinda French Gates's firm, as new investors while Khosla Ventures, Thrive Capital and Sequoia Capital all re-upped.

Moondream was acquired by Prime Intellect, announced 15 October and first reported by The Information. Terms were not disclosed. Moondream builds small open-weight vision language models for image understanding, plus Photon, an inference engine that compiles a model into a single GPU megakernel; it cites Moondream 3.1 running at 34 requests per second, roughly 24x faster than the next most accurate open model, and 60-plus inferences per second on a single H100.

Dream Labs came out of stealth on 15 October with a $90M seed, which Forbes reports was led by B Capital; the company's own release and Kindred Ventures describe the round as led by B Capital alongside Kindred, with A.Capital, Unusual Ventures, SV Angel, Wing VC, Scribble VC and angel Adrian Aoun also participating.

OuterSignal, building AI agents that personalise brand marketing and identify the people behind customer orders, raised a $22M Series A co-led by Long Journey Ventures and Abstract Ventures, with AME Cloud Ventures participating.
